It’s May and it’s time for the annual Shizuoka Hobby Show. This year’s show has been brought to you by the color red, which is the color scheme of the major attractions. First up is one that’s hard to ignore: the oversized HGUC Neo Zeong. This is probably the largest HGUC since the HGUC Dendrobium. Given the size and price point (>20k yen), it’s definitely one for a die-hard Full Frontal fan.
The next big, red thing is the Nightingale. Bandai is launching a brand new category, called Reborn One Hundred (RE). As the name implies, it’s gonna be 1/100 scale but with fewer details than an MG kit. Think of it as a reboot of the HG 1/100 line. The Nightingale, GP-04, and Gundam Mk-III will be the first few kits from this line.
The third red kit is the RG Char’s Z’Gok. I’m never a fan of Char’s custom color scheme, so I will most definitely paint this one in a different color when I get it. MG Hi Nu ver Ka is also getting a release, as is the MG Turn-X. Also looking forward to the HG Thunderbolt Zaku I, HGUC Zeta Plus A1 and the HGUC Schuzrum Gallus.
And here’s some photos from the rest of the show. I didn’t take as many photos as previous years, since most of them look very familiar. There was also a fully functioning tank at the show site. Anyway enjoy the pics!
