As 2016 rolls to an end, I decided to take a look back at the kits I’ve completed this year. 2016 started with a Zeon Remnant kit, the Zaku Desert, and finished with another, the Galluss K.

In between, I completed a couple of GMs & Grazes, a Ball, a Gouf and an Efreet. That’s 9 kits in total, meaning my build rate is one kit per 1.333 months or 0.75 kits per month. At that rate, and assuming I don’t buy any additional kits (highly unlikely), it would take 5.5 years to complete my current backlog. Just realizing the fact that I have approximately 50 unbuilt kits makes me ponder…

But anyway, here’s all that I built this year. I didn’t include the various Little Armory kits, though.

The Graze kits are the only non-UC kits I’ve built this year, and they’ve been quite a fun little package.

The two GM kits I built (GM III and Semi Striker) were featured in the Unicorn OVA, and it’s a prelude to more EFSF builds based on that series. The Thunderbolt Ball will also be supplemented with a pair of Balls in the near future.

I finished 4 Zeon kits this year, 3 of which are part of my Zeon Remnants Project.

Speaking of which, I’m adding a final addition to the project: the Juaggu. Despite stating at the start of the project that I’m not into unconventional Zeonic designs, I just wanted to finish this Zeon Remnants Project with something quite different.

So here’s to a more productive 2017. Cheers.

Shizuoka Hobby Show 2011 (Part 1)

It’s spring and it’s that time of the year again for the Shizuoka Hobby Show. I’ll try to keep it short (I’m getting lazier by the day). Anyway here’s a concise report for this year’s 50th Hobby Show:

Master grades. On display was the MG Delta Plus. Not my cup of tea, still prefer the Delta Gundam design. There’s also MG 00 Raiser, complete with LED gimmicks and clear effect parts. Still no sign of MG Heavyarms Custom though, but the next in line is the MG Sandrock. Oh, and the MG Epyon didn’t look as bad as I first thought, but still I’ll skip this one.

HGUCs. Coming out soon: the GM Cannon II. It looks fat with all that armor, but still looks appealing. Might consider getting this one. Then there’s the GM III, which looks like a poor man’s Jegan and it probably is. And back from the 1970’s: the HGUC Dreissen, with bell-bottoms which will put a Dom to shame. Not exactly UC, but Master Gundam will have his white horse to ride. HGFC (1/144) Master Gundam will be released with his horse, Fuunsaiki.

Real Grades. RG no.4 will be the Zaku II. Surprise, surprise! More specifically, it’s the space type MS-06F so it will only have the standard weapons: bazooka, machine gun & heat hawk. I really don’t like the different patches of green they used, but if you’re gonna paint it, it won’t matter.

Figurise. Did I spell that right? Anyway, I’m not really into it, but worth mentioning are the first two Kamen Riders, ichi-go and ni-go, will be released.

Did I miss out anything? As usual, I’ll post the pro modellers work in my next posting. Until then, enjoy the following pics
